The success story of BEHRINGER GmbH began with the foundation of a mechanical workshop in 1919 by August Behringer. At the age of 27 he decided together with his wife Emma to set up his own business despite the turmoil of the postwar period. The will to start something new and to shape his field of activity gave the impetus.
August Behringer founded a small mechanical workshop. His wife Emma ran a mom and pop shop, which became the couple’s second source of income.
Specializing in handcrafts, motorcycle and agricultural machinery repairs.
He also operated of one of the first BP gas stations.
After the end of World War II, the eldest son Willi Behringer came home from the war.

Willi Behringer withdraws from management and his son Rolf takes his place.
With the 26 series from HBP263A to HBP513A, BEHRINGER launched the first machine generation utilizing a modular system.
Establishment of BEHRINGER SAWS INC. in Morgantown as an independent US subsidiary.
BEHRINGER is booming. Since 1980 BEHRINGER has been investing continuously in additional production halls, office buildings, global expansions, modern workplaces and updated machines.
Establishment of an independent subsidiary BEHRINGER France in Dijon.
BEHRINGER acquires company shares from VERNET. Establishment of VERNET BEHRINGER, a leading drilling and production line manufacturer for steel construction.
Herbert Behringer leaves the company.
BEHRINGER took over the well-known traditional company EISELE and thus expanded its product range with circular sawing machines.
Premiere of the HBM series for cutting high-alloy and difficult-to-machine materials.
With the establishment of a sales office in China, BEHRINGER is focusing on a new growth market.
First OPEN HOUSE in Kirchardt for national and international customers.
A partnership between the companies Behringer, Vernet Behringer and Rösler Oberflächentechnik was founded under the brand name PARTNERS FOR STEEL, in order to offer complex linked systems from a single source to customers in steel construction and profile steel trading.
With the construction of the state-of-the-art foundry, BEHRINGER invested in the future. At the end of November 2008, the foundation stone was laid for the construction of the new production hall. This investment replaced the existing foundry and doubled the production capacity.
Delivery of the largest sawing machine ever build by BEHRINGER. The HBP5000 with a cutting range of 5 meters.
Premiere of the trend-setting HBE Dynamic bandsaw series, which has made a long lasting impact on the face of the BEHRINGER brand.
Establishment of BEHRINGER Ltd. as a sales and service office in the United Kingdom.
The largest fully automatic plate saw LPS25-200-7A set a new BEHRINGER record with a table length of 7 meters.
Presentation of the HBE Performance series. Delivery of the HBP2300A, designed for sawing plastic pipes up to 2,300 mm in diameter.
